Project Overview Traffic Transportation & Parking Improvements

Will Buechner Parkway is a new roadway that will connect Martin Luther King Drive (AL Hwy 14) to Richland Road. The road will connect to MLK Drive near Webster Road and to Richland Road near Creekside Elementary and stretch just over a mile. Will Buechner Parkway is a part of the City’s Major Street Plan and will enhance connectivity to residential neighborhoods, public schools and future parks. The project includes a multi-use path to also improve pedestrian connectivity in this area. The project is part of the City of Auburn's Auburn 2020.

The project was completed on Dec 22, 2023 with a total capital budget of $6,532,752.97.
